Farmer Bojan Sofranac from the Rvasi village is an example of a successful young businessman, who is developing his vineyards and wine-cellars, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. He has a clear message for all future colleagues – agriculture can be a lucrative business in Montenegro.
Bojan has wanted to be engaged in agriculture all his life.
“Agriculture can be a good business. Moreover, for the one who organises it well, agriculture can be a lucrative business,” said Sofranac.
He has received a grant from the ministry for starting a business of young farmers.
Thanks to this support, he has big plans for his business – expanding his vineyards and building additional wine-cellars.

Currently there are 2,650 vines in his vineyard.

“I expect to harvest about 10 tonnes of grapes and everything can be sold,” he said.
Today the minister of agriculture Milutin Simovic, who is his mentor, visited Sofranac.
Simovic said that Bojan’s business is an ideal example of a combination of family tradition, the Rvasi area potentiality, the work of a young farmer and his vision.

“I think it guarantees success. We are sending a message of encouragement to all young people in Montenegro to recognize their chance in agriculture. This is the goal of government and ministry’s support – helping young farmers start their business,” said Simovic.
