When the national airline Montenegro Airlines flew to Bari for the first time back in 1997, the company’s logo was imprinted on the plane so that the whole world could see that it was a Montenegrin bird soaring into the sky.
Today, in 2021, the new national flag carrier Air Montenegro, believe it or not, flies with no logo. And no one knows when it’s going to change.
It’s almost a unique example in the world that the national brand of a country does not have its own logo.
Air Montenegro planes have been flying since June, while the company’s logo was officially presented on 28 May.
According to an air traffic specialist, Alen Scuric, it’s unusual that planes of any national carrier don’t have logo.
“It rarely happens, that is, solely in cases of short-term leasing,” he told in a statement for the CdM portal.
