Billionaire investor Mohamed Alabbar, in an exclusive interview with Vijesti TV, shared his early vision for the Long Beach project, emphasizing that he has no detailed plan yet but intends to respect the wishes of the local community and Montenegrin and EU laws.
He envisions low-rise buildings (3–4 floors), abundant greenery, and open, clean beaches accessible to all. Alabbar stressed local economic benefits, saying locals who sell chicken or shampoo could see more sales through restaurants and hotels.
He proposed that no more than 20% of the land be used for apartments and hotels, with 50% reserved for greenery, infrastructure, and bike paths.
“If you don’t listen to what the community and the state want, you shouldn’t even do the project,” he said, adding that his motivation comes from wanting to create something meaningful and sustainable.
