All issued fiscal receipts on the internet, suggests law on e-fiscalization

The government’s working team has prepared proposals in late May, that is, three rulebooks, which along with the law on fiscalization, define electronic fiscalization, that is, real-time data transfer of every cash and non-cash transaction.

The law on fiscalization, alongside these rulebooks, will enter into force from 2021, and according to estimations, the state budget will thus generate around 15 million euro of additional revenues per year, reported Dnevne Novine daily.

Electronic fiscalization that many entrepreneurs opposed in the beginning, mean that all cash registers must connect with the Tax Administration, i.e. all issued fiscal receipts are published on the internet, whereas check can be done electronically or via SMS.

The current fiscalization model that includes cash registers and fiscal receipts proved to be inefficient as traders were quick-witters, especially on the coast during the season – they always found ways to avoid giving receipts to customers or simply gave the fake ones.

In this way they were stealing from the state tens of millions of euros.

In addition, the Tax Administration didn’t have the information on the real-time trade of goods and services and couldn’t do comparative analyses with the data from tax returns and comparative analysis of taxation turnover for taxpayers.

But now the future system brings all cash registers connected with the Tax Administration electronically, and entrepreneurs will have to buy new or upgrade the existing cash registers.
