Konjevic has requested the Parliament to dismiss him after the SDP, the party he belongs to, did nit support Milo Djukanovic’s government during the confedence vote.
Prime minister filed a motion for Konjevic’s dismissal to the Parliament on 1 February.
Djukanovic then explained that Konjevic suggested PM submit a proposal for his dismissal, after the government of Montenegro won confidence vote at the session of the Parliament on 27 January.
Konjevic earlier said that he did not even think of sitting in the Cabinet which his party voted against. He added that the debate about his resignation woud be an opportunity for the SDP to check once again whether the government had the majority in the Parliament.
By all accounts, Konjevic will be dismissed because it is expected that the DPS would vote for his dismissal. In addition the SNP and the Positive Montenegro are also willing to support Konjevic’s plan to leave the government.
