The prices of personal consumption products and services, measured by the consumer price index, in August, compared to July, were on average 0.2% higher, MONSTAT data show. In August, compared to the same month last year, consumer prices were on average 15% higher.
“The biggest impact on the monthly inflation rate was the increase in prices in the groups of solid fuels, vegetables, accommodation services, milk, cheese and eggs, air passenger transport, meat, fruit, office and drawing supplies”, MONSTAT says.
In the period from January to August, compared to the same period last year, consumer prices were on average 11.1% higher.
