There are 3,000 people waiting for €1,926 severance payments in Montenegro. If everyone is granted this right, the state will have to pay over €5.7m. As the director of the Labour Fund, Kemal Djecevic, told Dan, in this year budget there is €1,251,900 allocated for the payment of claims for victims of transition. The sum will be enough for around 650 payments.
The Labour Fund pays the claims in accordance with the Law on the Labour Fund, which can be received by employees who ceased to work with the employer due to bankruptcy on 23 August 2008 and workers whose engagement was stopped due to technological, economic and restructuring changes.
