For the past 11 months, tax inspectors carried out 2,220 controls and found adjustments in the amount of over €56m, mostly on the basis of taxes and contributions to earnings and VAT, said the director of the Tax Administration, Miomir M. Mugosa
“Of course, all taxpayers have the right to appeal against a decision of the tax inspector, ie to check the grounds for additional tax liabilities in the second instance procedure. Also, as of November last year, we conducted over 15,000 checks of the regularity of taxpayers’ operations and issued misdemeanour orders in the total value of almost €2m,” Mugosa said.
