Montenegro is officially the country with zero coronavirus cases. After 68 days since the first registered case, yesterday Montenegro became the first country to „win the war“ with COVID-19. Is this important? Very important! CdM interlocutors says it is a huge success.
Assistant of the Minister of Health, Dr Vesna Miranović, says that this is Montenegro’s great success.
“This success adds value to the Montenegrin healthcare system and all institutions of the system that were put in the function of the protection of human health. Healthcare system has created conditions for the revival of tourism. We are looking for the code of conduct applicable to tourists which will be flexible enough so that tourists can feel the magic of the vacation”, Dr Miranović says.
She also warns that corona-free destination is just a temporary title.
“With new outbreaks, its character changes. Therefore, we still need to be careful and disciplined. Let the mask indoor and physical distancing be the greatest sacrifice”, Dr Miranović says.
State secretary in the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Mr Damir Davidović, points out that this is great news which confirms citizens’ commitment to protecting health.
“I believe this encourages further togetherness. Let’s now show seriousness at the level of quality of our destination ”, Mr Davidović says.
