Around 40.000 requests for the moratorium on the repayment of loans have been submitted in less than three days. According to the available data, Erste bank has received most requests – 7.600.

Several days ago Central Bank explained the ways of the implementation of temporary suspension of the repayment of loans – moratorium.
Key items citizens should know:
- For the period the moratorium is in force, banks won’t be calculating penalty interest on unsettled claims, will not initiate execution procedure.
- User of the loan who wants to claim right to moratorium doesn’t have to visit banks. Request for the activation of moratorium can be submitted by phone, email or post.
- Deadline for the repayment of the loan will be prolonged for 90 days.
