Former CIA agent, Josef Asad,won’t testify in the case of the attempted coup carried out on the elections day in 2015,by invoking the Fifth Amendment of the American Constitution which stipulates that an individual can refuse to testify if that act threatens to expose the person to criminal prosecution.
Asad was supposed to provide some explanations regarding the deal he had with Democratic Front over providing security services to the members of this party after voting at the Parliamentary Elections in 2016.
Special Prosecutor’s Office has come up with the evidence that Josef Asad, together with his team, came to Montenegro many times in the fall of 2016 and during his visits he was located in two private houses.
Reportedly, Asad and his team were supposed to develop a detailed evacuation plan after the chaos in the streets of Podgorica is provoked. Asad’s team was very professional and well-equipped: they installed the devices for the prevention of tracking the signal of mobile phones, they used special protection measures in the use of Internet, and they even used satellite phone for the purposes of special communication.
