About 7,200 Montenegrin students will take part in PISA testing, which started on 19 March and ends in early May. So far, about 305 students have been tested and we believe that they will show better results than those in 2015, the director of the Examination Centre, Dragana Dmitrovic, told Pobjeda.
Montenegrin students show poor knowledge on PISA tests, and at the last one, held three years ago, on a list of 70 countries, they were ranked 52 out of 59.
Dmitrovic points out that the in the meantime the institutions made a lot of efforts to emphasise the importance of this testing.
“We are intensively working on improving teaching process in order to make it interactive and provide functional knowledge… It is a process, but we are certain that we are on the right path,” she said.
She added that 49 high schools and 12 elementary schools would take part in the testing.
