A highway to the Montenegrin coast, which has already been devastated by illegal construction, unplanned concrete pouring, asphalting right up to the beaches, buildings from which you can jump into the sea, now, instead of getting closer to that concrete, is planned to be constructed in a part of untouched, historically significant and preserved Crmnica.
Utrg, Podgor, Tomici, Brceli, Bukovik, vineyards and the untouched lands are going to be destroyed with concrete and asphalt, based on the project run by the non-transparent company ‘Monteput’.
This company that generates millions has remained silent for a year already on CdM’s requests to say publicly whether the highway is going to go through the mentioned villages, which have a significant historical role and heritage architecture.
At the public hearing on this part of the physical plan, they found a cunning way to present Bar residents and people living in the surrounding villages and settlements loads of shocking details including the highway, which is supposed to stretch over the mentioned villages to Bukovik – where the best Montenegrin wine is being produced – and run through the mountains, to the town of Bar.
Residents of the mentioned villages tell CdM they plan to protest against this devastation, because, as they claim, they’ve had enough of such behaviour towards Crmnica and its residents.
These days, they gather and prepare a petition. The local government in Bar is on the move as well.
