The average salary (gross) in May 2022 in Montenegro was €876, while the average salary without taxes and contributions (net) was €710, according to the MONSTAT Statistical Office.
The average (net) salary in May compared to April increased by 0.4%, while the average (net) salary in May 2022 grew by 34% compared to the same month last year.
“If we keep in mind that consumer prices in May compared to April recorded a growth of 0.8%, it follows that real wages for the same period recorded a decline of 0.4%”, MONSTAT has stated.
