According to the data from the Monstat Statistical Office, the average salary without taxes and contributions in May amounted to €793 and was 0.9% higher than in April, while the average gross salary in May was €988.
The average net salary in May, compared to the same month last year, increased by 11.7%.
“If it is taken into account that consumer prices in May compared to April recorded a growth of 0.5%, it follows that real earnings for the same period recorded a growth of 0.4%,” the announcement states.
