Average gross salary in April this year in Montenegro amounted to €779, whereas average salary without taxes and contributions amounted to €521, Statistical Office of Montenegro reported.
Average net salary was by 0,6% lower than in March.

Observed by sectors, average salaries without taxes and contributions in April have recorded increase in the following sectors: Healthcare and social protection (4,1%), Extraction of ores and stone (2,9%), electricity supply (1%), wholesale and retail trade (0,5%).
Decline in the average salary without taxes and contributions has been recorded in the following sectors: accommodation and food services (13,7%), real estate business (6,9%), construction (3%), financial and insurance activities (2,7%), art, entertainment and recreation (2,3%), administrative and helping services (2,2%), professional, scientific and technical activities (2,1%), other hospitality activities (1,9%), manufacturing industry (1,4%), information and communication (1,4%), water supply, waste management (1,2%). State administration and defense (1,2%), transport and storage (0,6%), and agriculture, forestry and fishery (0,4%).
