In January this year, the average (gross) salary in Montenegro was €940, while the average salary without taxes and contributions (net) amounted to €757, announced the Statistical Office of Montenegro (MONSTAT).
The average (net) salary in January 2023 compared to December 2022 was by 4.1% higher while the average (net) salary in January 2023 compared to the same month previous year recorded a growth of 10.3%.
“If we take into account that consumer prices rose by 0.4% in January 2023 compared to December 2022, it means that real earnings for the same period went up by 3.7%,” MONSTAT stated.
