Banality of evil: Mass entertainment, Visnjic was a perfect bait

Ljubo Filipović

Both the Government and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports use sexual scandals in an endeavour to change the story and put a focus on gossiping and inexpensive entertainment gathering mass audience, but in fact, this issue is really serious, CdM columnist, Ljubomir Filipovic, assessed, following the ministry’s statement concerning the case of the teacher, Rada Visnjic.

“Now, after we saw nude photos of a candidate for the headteacher, I guess it’s clear to everyone that Ms Visnjic was the perfect bait that the public should focus on. The Civic Movement URA now allegedly opposes it, Bratic and her team are gradually giving in, while the focus is being shifted from the fact that a real small consignment of ultimate right-wingers and extremists had been appointed as headteachers,” Mr Filipovic says.

The woman’s private pics are the problem now, he adds, not her clero-fascist ideology which she used to serve to children at school through smurfs and other entertainment games following the well-known model – the banality of evil.
