Beaches ready for use starting from 18 May

Starting from next Monday, 18 May, Montenegrin beaches will be in function again. PI Coastal Zone Management has adopted a set of conveniences for leaseholders – reduction of rents and payment in installments.

Meeting of the Administrative Board of the Coastal Zone Management concluded that bathing areas and temporary locations in the coastal zone would be in function in accordance with the recommendations of the National Coordination Body and orders of the Ministry of Health.

“Users/leaseholders of bathing areas, docks and moorings are exempt from submitting performance bonds for 2020. All users/leaseholders will be enabled to pay annual fee for 2020 in several installments, with mandatory bank guarantee and last installment due to be pai9d until 1 December 2020”.

In addition, leaseholders who made their hotel facilities available for the purposes of quarantines, will be exempt from paying annual fee for the entire 2020.

“Leaseholders who have concluded long-term investment contracts will be allowed to suspend realization of tasks for 90 days, satrti8ng from 1 April 2020. Users of hospitality and accommodation facilities in the coastal zone which work throughout the entire year will have annual fee reduced for 90 days”.

Two deck chairs and one sunshade will be set on 16 square meters. The same rule applies to those who want to use their own beach towels.

Deck chairs and other equipment will be disinfected on a daily basis.

There are currently 25 active coronavirus cases in Montenegro, whereas 290 persons have recovered.

Starting from today, personal vehicle traffic and public transport of passengers will be allowed – within one region.

Work of healthcare institutions will be normalized and religious communities will be allowed to perform religious rites and services, in accordance with the current epidemic situation.
