Prime Minister Dusko Markovic set a cornerstone for a new city square in Bijelo Polje today. The investor is Adriatic Properties, and the construction should be finalized in August.
Mayor of Bijelo Polje Aleksandar Zuric said that the reconstruction would happen in two phases.
“The first phase entails changing of the surface, from the bridge on Nikoljac to complete city square between two parks, to shopping mall Forum”, Zuric said, kodex.me reports.
The project is valued at 900 thousand EUR.
“For the first phase we ensured a donation from one socially responsible company, Adriatic Properties from Budva, all thanks to the Prime Minister”, Zuric said.
He said that another part of the square would be financed by directorate and that a tender was published yesterday.
“The second phase will be a reconstruction of the lower park by the monument”, he said.
UNIPRED is the construction company. Zuric said construction would be finalized even before the deadline in August.
“The north may face bigger challenges than the rest of Montenegro, but we do respect deadlines”, he said.
