President of “Voli” company, Dragan Bokan, took part on the Kopaonik Business Forum 2019 and the panel – “Doing business in the Balkans – advantages, disadvantages and recommendations”, where he spoke about the business environment in Montenegro. He pointed out it “is good but not perfect”.
According to him, GDP is growing and that trend is to be expected in the future.
Bokan said grey economy was one of the greatest barriers.
“There’s somewhere around € 1,5 billion of grey economy. Looking at our branch, one of the greatest problems in the domain of grey economy is the movement of excise products at the black market. That’s the challenge for both the companies which do their business systemically and the state which fails to generate the projected revenue”, says Bokan.
As far as “Voli” company is concerned, illegal employment is a great problem, along with paying taxes and contributions on the lowest personal income.
“We are leaders in our field. Therefore, I expect the Government to do its best to reduce grey economy in Montenegro so that we, being healthy companies, can develop in the best possible way”, said Bokan.
He said there were so many investments in Montenegro. He gave as an example continuation of the construction of Porto Montenegro, Portonovi, Luštica, and other investments in tourism, branch that brings over € 1 billion of income to Montenegro.
