Former president of the board of directors of the New Tobacco Factory in Podgorica, Isat Boljević, signed a plea agreement with the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT).
Plea bargaining has been submitted to the High Court in Podgorica, according to Aida Muzurović, media relations advisor in this Court.
Boljević, on the other hand, said “he hadn’t signed a plea bargaining and he knows nothing about it“.
According to media reports, Boljević was prosecuted on suspicion of abusing his office, after the police on 23 March last year seized cigarettes found in the warehouse near Tuzi, worth about €4 million. Montenegrin investigators required his interrogation after they found out that Boljević was leasing that warehouse in Karabuško polje.
