Boljevic agrees to pay a €50,000 fine and face 9-month prison term

Ex-president of the Board of Directors of the New Tobacco Factory (NDKP), Isat Boljevic, in the High Court in Podgorica yesterday considered plea bargaining with the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT). The defendant has agreed to plead guilty to participating in cigarette smuggling and to face 9-month prison term.

Boljevic also agreed to pay a €40,000 fine and a fine of €10,000 to the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG), Pobjeda writes.

Judge Boris Savic, president of the extra-procedural council of the High Court, yesterday considered plea bargain signed between Boljevic and the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT). Boljevic’s attorney, Danilo Micovic, confirmed that the plea bargain was signed yesterday but didn’t want to comment on the sanctions his client accepted.
