Today, MPs started the discussion on 12 laws that are necessary to obtain the IBAR. The debate on four laws has ended, namely: Bill on Lobbying, Bill on Amendments to Laws on Criminal Procedure, Bill on Amendments to the Law on Courts, Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Judicial Council and Judges. MPs from both the government and the opposition have announced that despite the shortcomings of the proposed legal documents, they will support the IBAR laws, thus paving the path for Montenegro to join the EU. The session will continue tomorrow at 10 a.m.
Deputy Parliament Speaker Boris Pejovic has announced that tomorrow the MPs will discuss the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Center for Training in the Judiciary and the State Prosecutor’s Office, the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the State Prosecutor’s Office, the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Special the State Prosecutor’s Office, the Bill on the Law on Prevention of Corruption, the Bill on the Law on Amendments to the Law on Confiscation of Property Gains from Criminal Activity.
According to the agreement of the Parliamentary Collegium, the voting is planned for tomorrow and Friday.
