The director of the National Museum of Montenegro Zivko Radovic has resigned from that position, a month after the Government appointed him at the session on 9 September. Pobjeda has been confirmed from several sources that Radovic has resigned primarily because he could not get the inactive employment status in the Museums and Galleries of Podgorica public institution, where he was employed as a conservator, while he was in office at the National Museum in Cetinje.
Until the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports finds a new candidate for director of the National Museum, the work of this institution will be coordinated by Minister Vesna Bratic.
Radovic has not appeared at his new job in Cetinje since his appointment at the cabinet meeting, and in the meantime, he submitted the inactive employment status request to the Museums and Galleries of Podgorica, which was rejected.
This has led to a blockade of the work of the National Museum, delays in the salaries of employees, but also delays in the implementation of numerous other tasks.
