Portal IN4S initiated a camping for boycotting the local elections in Niksic. Interestingly enough, the promotion poster for their campaign features an image of the US President Donald Trump with the message “Boycott, my brothers!”, Pobjeda newspaper writes.
The portal, close to the opposition Democratic Front (DF), says that by going to the polling stations citizens will “forgive and forget all the crimes, thefts and frauds committed by Milo Djukanovic’s regime in the last almost three decades”.
“By voting for the NATO coalition in Niksic, you will provide legitimacy to replacing sports purpose of the airport in this city with the military one, for the needs of NATO. By supporting elections in Niksic, in which only pro-NATO and pro-regime parties DPS and SD participate, you will support violent and undemocratic Montenegro’s membership in NATO,” the portal says.
According to it, the elections in the city will be “virtually one-party elections, in evident dictatorship in Montenegro. In the same way the decision on NATO membership will be adopted magically and dictatorially in the Parliament of Montenegro, with no democratic referendum”.
“Should we vote and thus legalise robbery unprecedented in modern Europe?! Boycott, my brothers,” it is said in the campaign explanation.
The portal posted photos of posters and flyers which are being printed double-sided. The portal editor Gojko Raicevic did not answer Pobjeda journalists’ phone calls.
