The budget deficit for the first four months of 2021 amounted to 142 million euro or 3.1% of gross domestic product, GDP, which is 63.8 million less than planned, according to data of the Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare, run by Minister Milojko Spajic.
Only in April, the budget deficit amounted to 38.6 million euro. The revenues from January to late April, on the other hand, amounted to 491.8 million euro, while costs were 633.9 million euro. In April, the revenues amounted to 143.4 million euro, while expenditures amounted to 182 million euro.
Compared to the same period last year, the revenues are reduced by 8.5 million euro, that is, 1.7%, which happened as a result of limited economic activities in the current year, suggests the report of the ministry.
