The first same-sex marriage has been registered in Budva. The marriage is between two young women, who are originally from the Balkans, but live and work abroad.
According to local self-government secretary Milijana Vukotiv Jelusic, the institution provided the register of partnerships, the prescribed excerpt from the register which is handed to the partners immediately after entering into marriage, as well as the presence of councilors in accordance with the law.
