Budva: Goran Djurickovic murdered

Djurickovic was killed in the garden of his café “Old Fisherman’s Pub”, near the Old Town of Budva.

The Police Directorate announced that operations aimed at identifying the perpetrators were ongoing.

The media earlier published that Djurickovic allegedly had been a target when his godfather Sasa Markovic had been killed.

During the investigation into the murder of Sasa Markovic, Aleksandar Markovic from Podgorica and South African citizen, Gregory Michael Ferraris, were arrested on suspicion of having prepared the liquidation of Djurickovic.

Inspectors suspected the motive for the murder of Sasa Markovic was actually a warning to Goran Djurickovic to return the money gained from suspicious transactions related to drug smuggling.

“As suspected by the police, Djurickovic’s engagement was also connected with the affairs of Goran Radoman, who was killed in the night between 19th and 20th February in Belgrade. Radoman was identified by the mafia as a man who stole about 300kg cocaine shipment,” the media carried after Markovic’s murder.

Apparently, the police were checking allegations that Djurickovic had also been involved in business with Radoman, which is why he was the victim of a mob attack in Spain, late last year, when he was wounded.

When he recovered from his injuries, Djurickovic found a shelter in the settlement of Becici near Budva, in the family house of Sasa Markovic.
