Carević: We should restrain from any form of nationalism, chauvinism

Marko Bato Carević

The best and only way to handle crisis in Budva is to talk less and work more, Marko Carevic, the president of Budva Municipality told Dan daily.

Mr Carević emphasized he believed tension between the Crnogorska party and the Democratic Front, DF, would soon defuse.

Using harsh and impolitic words in any form of communication is not something Mr Carevic would support.

“I never use harsh words and that’s widely known. Everyone’s responsible for his/her own words. Harsh words should not be used in any form of communication and we can’t move forward if we do so. I hope that won’t repeat ever again, and when I say this, I mean on both sides [Crnogorska party and DF]. I hope the Crnogorska party will realize nationalism and chauvinism they are spreading is not leading to any progress, and that’s not the Montenegrin society we should be representing,” Mr Carević told Dan daily.
