The quality of electricity supply in Montenegro can be better, yesterday noted the economy minister, Dragica Sekulić, adding that EUR 50 million the Montenegrin electricity distribution system (CEDIS) plans to invest in electricity distribution network will decrease the number and duration of power outages.

“As a citizen and the economy minister, I’m not satisfied with the quality of the electricity supply, and I wouldn’t be in CEDIS today and we wouldn’t discuss ways to find best solutions with our limited funds if the situation has been different,” said minister Sekulić at the press conference held after the meeting with the CEDIS management.

She also added that the distribution network has been projected for smaller number of users who will have to respect the requirements.

Minister Sekulić called in mind that the Ministry of Economy and CEDIS have been developing the program of revitalization of low-voltage network for several months, for which CEDIS allocated EUR 50 million in the next 3 years.
