The conduct of the elections cannot overlap with major political events such as state or local election campaigns, reads the draft text for the Government’s conclusion regarding the period of the census, which CdM has had access to.
This means that this year’s census cannot be conducted, and due to the presidential elections next year, not even in the first half of 2023.
It is also noted that a stable political and social environment is important for the census implementation.
