“Works on the reconstruction of the highway Cetinje – Budva, including both the share near Brajići tunnel and the share Košljun – Lapčići, will be completed by May 10”, said for „Pobjeda“ Dušan Kokić, the engineer.
He explained that the Košljun – Lapčići part of the highway was paved with two layers of asphalt and now there’s one layer left.
As far as the tunnel in Brajići is concerned, the workers are focused on its lighting.
„The tunnel is mostly finished and where there are jams, the vehicles coming from one direction go along the old road, whereas the vehicles from the opposite direction go through the tunnel“, said Kokić.
This tunnel is 176 m long and 10 m wide and it has three lanes.
Reconstruction of the highway between Cetinje and Budva started at the beginning of 2017. It was planned to be finished by November but the deadline was extended to March of this year.
