Details from the investigation show that management of Bijelo Polje’s prison made several serious mistakes and that guards who had to keep an eye on Zindovic at every moment didn’t follow the procedure, it was reported by Pobjeda.
It is obvious that Zindovic had helpers that planned for months how to get him out of the prison.
Visit to sick mother was just a cover to get the permit to leave the prison in Bijelo Polje. Zindovic’s guards undoubtedly had an important role too. Investigation will show if it’s just lack of commitment or a more serious issue.
When they came to family home of Zindovic officers found several people they didn’t recognize there as well as one former convict.
Although he wa supposed to spend time with his mother officers let him to spend hours with guests who they didn’t even identify at the beginning. At one moment Zindovic went to the bathroom and escaped through the window. During that time officers didn’t keep an eye on him and they learned about the escape when he was already too far away.
Besides national, Jovica Zindovic is also on Interpol’s wanted list.
Higher court in Bijelo Polje sentenced Jovica Zindovic in March on 15 years and three months in prison for murdering Popovic Luka. According to charges, Zindovic killed Popovic on 13th of January in “Enigma” hotel in Zabljak.
