In an interview for the CdM portal, the Dean of the Faculty of the Montenegrin Language and Literature, FCJK, Adnan Cirgic, notes that the government has attacked the faculty again, adding that professors of the FCJK will defend the building of the faculty if necessary, following the announcement of the Cadastre Administration that they won’t fund the security guards who used to protect the FCJK building, which was protected as a part of the cultural heritage.

Mr Cirgic also warns that Vesna Bratic’s ministry again ceased to fund the faculty. “The ministry paid the last instalment for August, and we’re practically in the midst of November. Having in mind that the Ministry of Finance informs the public about budget surpluses on a daily basis, then the funds must have been blocked on purpose. Or Minister Bratic calculates days “according to the old calendar”. Nevertheless, we’ll wait for a few more days and then see what to do next.”

On the outcomes of work of the new government, Mr Cirgic says: “It brought us additional borrowings, chased away investors, increased the price of fuel, but professionals can tell about it better. I’d add that the new government brought us knowledge about some values that we weren’t aware of – it showed that there’s a large group of intellectuals and civic activists in Montenegro who put the emancipation and prosperity of this country first, and who fight for those values despite they may barely survive.”
