The Health Fund has concluded agreements with five private health institutions that want to provide public health services, without specifying which institutions are in question. However, there is no Codra Hospital among them, which decided not to apply for the competition announced in September after the government had previously terminated the contract with it, which was supposed to be valid until the end of last year, Pobjeda reports.
This means that the citizens of Montenegro will no longer be able to get medical treatments in the private hospital Codra at the expense of the state, but will have to pay for all services. This private hospital provided operations in the field of urology, surgery, ophthalmology and orthopedics at the expense of health insurance.
Codra director Dragica Perovic Ivanovic has told Pobjeda that the contract was terminated last summer by an illegal decision of the Ministry of Health and the Health Fund.
