The clock on the Clock Tower in the Stara Varos neighbourhood in Podgorica has been broken for some time, Dan writes. It stopped at 8.30am, although its ticking can be heard .
Turkish Agency for International Cooperation (TIKA) invested €400,000 in its restoration and reconstruction of the Becir Beg Osmanagic’s Square. However, the City of Podgorica’s services have not invested any efforts to maintain this facility.
Decorative lighting on green surfaces does not operate, whereas the main lanterns work occasionally. Citizens cannot drink water from the pipe, because it is broken as well, and the taps are turned upside down.
Although it was announced that the Clock Tower will be open to visitors, its doors are locked.
