By 16 April, 21,086 taxpayers reported earning their income, the Tax Administration told Dan daily, stressing that they have paid €37.64m of personal income taxes so far.

“We should bear in mind that taxpayers who pay their tax within the determined tax deadline have the right to a 6 per cent decreased tax liability, and that’s why we have a number of those who have already made their payments. We’d also like to mention that part of the reported tax liabilities can be paid in 6 monthly installments, which is in line with the Decree on deferred payment of corporate profit tax,” the Tax Administration explained for Dan.

The highest income tax in 2017 was €1.9m and it was filed by a company producing fresh concrete. The 2nd place belongs to a telecommunication company (€1.235m) and the 3rd one goes to an airline company (€1.097m), followed by two companies dealing with monetary mediation (€890.150, i.e. €871.400 of reported income tax).

By 16 April 2018, the total tax obligation of the indebted taxpayers is by €11m higher compared to the same period last year, the Tax Administration reveals.
