The Appellate Court rejected the appeal of the NGO ‘Former Workers of Vektra Boka’ against the decision of the Commercial Court to reject the proposal of the Tax Administration to introduce bankruptcy into Vektra Boka. Thus, the decision of the Commercial Court becomes final, Danilo Matijasevic, the owner of the Elena Group that bought 33% of shares of Vektra Boka, confirms for RTHN.
Mr Matijasevic states that the Tax Administration can now collect €1,030.000 of tax debt deposited with the notary, while Vektra Boka is going to fulfil the obligations towards workers, the municipality and the state.
He also expects the court will soon decide to lift the temporary measure – the prohibition of alienation of property – thus creating the opportunity for Igalo Hotel to be sold. Recall, Igalo Hotel is in the process of forced sale so that the previous owners of the land where it’s situated can collect claims, but the former workers of Vektra Boka managed to prevent it through the Commercial Court.
