The Government of Montenegro will invest €9 million in the construction of one more cable car at the Kolašin 1600 Ski Resort, for which the Public Works Administration signed today a contract with the consortium ‘Doppelmayr – Kolašin’. The cableway will connect the Ski Resorts Kolašin 1450 and Kolašin 1600, the govt said in a statement.
The contract envisages the preparation of the conceptual design of the detachable 6-seater cable car K7 to be completed within two months from its signing, the preparation of the main project within four months from the acceptance of the conceptual design, while the deadline for the completion of the cable car construction is one year from the day of introducing contractors to work.
The Government recognized investment in the ski resorts construction as a chance for the development of the north of the country and its tourist potentials, as it would create new jobs and improve citizens’ quality of life.
