Politics has entered all spheres of life in Montenegro. The proof is the costume ball organized as part of the Mimosa Festival, held at the Dr Simo Milosevic Institute, whose general sponsor is the Municipality of Herceg Novi, and which is headed by Democrat official Dragan Katic.
According to the main costumes and messages, and as users of social networks noticed, the costume ball looked more like iconography from the current Democrats’ protests against the formation of a minority government than a manifestation such as the Mimosa Festival used to be.
The fact that the protests of the Democrats and everything they have said in the previous days has reached the costume ball, is best shown by the costume called “Coalition of Darkness”.
The first prize winners in the category of individual masks presented President Milo Djukanovic and DPM and URA leader Dritan Abazovic in an incriminating manner, accusing them of criminal acts through masks.
The ball also featured the VOLI Loves You mask, which dealt with the allusion to cocaine that was found in the company’s warehouse. This costume won the first prize among group costumes.
The third prize in the group category went to the mask named Dritanka and the Seven Dwarfs.
