All incomes from fuel fee are divided by a predefined formula, that states that five cents per litre are for financing the highway construction, and two cents are for supporting national sport’s teams.
“We would like to inform you that incomes from the fee for highway construction on retail price of liquid fuels collected between 27th of May and 11th of August was 3.726.275 euros”, it was announced by Tax administration, whose director is Milan Lakicevic.
Fuel fee introduction by the Government in April was not the first time this has been done. Records that were presented to Dnevne novine earlier clearly show that in 2003 the Government imposed similar fees for construction of highways in a union with Serbia at that time.
