For the New Year, restaurants and hotels will be open until 1am with the possession of a Covid certificate, Minister of Health Jelena Borovinic Bojovic has stated at today’s press conference, during the presentation of new epidemiological measures to combat coronavirus. She has pointed out that during all other days until 12 January, the working hours of all catering facilities, with the possession of a Covid certificate, will be limited to 10pm. It is forbidden to organise weddings, birthdays, parties, music festivals and other private celebrations, gatherings of the population in closed public places, visit persons in institutions for collective accommodation, etc. These measures are to be valid from 30 December to 12 January 2022. The Minister has announced that the inspection will be rigorous.
Minister of Finance and Social Welfare Milojko Spajic says it is estimated that the loss during the holiday period would be from €30m to €50m.
“This is primarily the figure that affects the state and public finances. Meeting the health workers’ needs, we have made a difficult but necessary decision”, he has said.
