During the training organised by the Human Resources Management Authority and the NATO Membership Council’s Communication Team in Pljevlja, Colonel Mehmedin Tahirovic and Damir Crncec from the Slovenian Defence Ministry held lectures for local officials and employees, councillors, employees in public enterprises and institutions.
Presenting experience of his state, Mr Crncec emphasized that NATO and the European Union represented “two sides of one coin”.
The seminar was attended by 70 officials. Procedures of accession to NATO and the benefits of membership in the Alliance were the most discussed topics.
The President of the Municipality Pljevlja, Mirko Djacic, said that membership of Montenegro in NATO was of great importance particularly in terms of creating conditions for stable development and secure foreign investment in the country.
