Political stability is a prerequisite for Montenegro’s progress towards the European Union, the French Senate announced after a meeting with Montenegrin Finance Minister Aleksandar Damjanovic. That is why they called on all political actors to establish stability as soon as possible, both at the level of the Government and in the Parliament. Damjanovic also discussed concrete projects in Paris.
In the French Senate, they have no dilemma – the Western Balkans is of strategic importance for the European Union. They believe that Montenegro will close as many chapters as possible and successfully go to the end of this process. However, the Senate, after talking with the Montenegrin Minister of Finance, said what the condition of all conditions is.
“It is certain that political stability is needed in order for Montenegro to progress on the European path. That is why it is very important, and we are monitoring it, to establish political stability as quickly as possible both at the level of the Government and generally the entire political class”, Marta de Cidrac, president of the France-Western Balkans Friendship Group, told TVCG.
