About 10-20 migrants enter Montenegro on a daily basis and after the transit they leave our country. The police and the competent authorities are ready and they have the situation under control. There are no any indicators that these passes of migrants endanger the safety of Montenegro, said today the acting Director of the Police Directorate, Vesko Damjanović.

“We’ve rehabilitated former watchtowers and we’re now preparing another one, in case there is greater number of migrants we need to receive, although, for now, nothing seems to indicate that this number could be bigger”, said Damjanović.

The issue of migrants has been the priority on the agenda of many international meetings and the result is increased cooperation of police and careful monitoring of the situation.

Vesko Damjanović invited citizens to immediately call the police in case they notice anything strange regarding migrants.
