Davidovic plans to establish a media group to help DF

Miodrag Daka Davidović

Niksic businessman Miodrag Davidovic Daka decided to provide financial support for the establishment of a media group. The concern would consist of a newspaper, a TV station and a web portal, Pobjeda learns from multiple sources close to the opposition. Editorial policies for these media would be prominently opposition oriented, close to DF’s policies. They would focus on political and economic circumstances in Montenegro.

Davidovic already had some discussions on this topic with parts of the opposition, primarily with some politicians from DF’s leadership but also with a number of journalists and editors of several Montenegrin media and some from Belgrade based newspapers.

“At the meeting with opposition representatives and journalists, Davidovic presented a plan according to which the TV station would re-broadcast programmes via Republika Srpska (Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina) with the help of Montenegrin cable operators. The station would use expensive technical logistics of the Serbian House,” Pobjeda’s source said, adding that a very modern TV studio would be housed inside the Serbian House.

According to the source, the TV station, the newspapers and the news portal would not be officially part of the Serbian House, since the house is owned by Serbia. However its capacities would be used by the media outlets.
