Although it is undisputed that public support for NATO integration is growing daily, Dedović believes it is high time that the discussion on Montenegro’s membership in NATO steps out of offices, hotels and conference rooms.
“We are seeing that all activities concerning the membership of Montenegro in NATO are happening in Podgorica or Budva, and nowhere else in Montenegro. It’s like ignoring the fact that NATO is not only for Podgorica and Budva, or just for the Government and expensive hotels. The government’s communications team continues to schedule these activities based on what they like best. We feel that there are much better ways to talk about the Alliance, out of posh hotels and offices”, stated Mr. Dedović for daily newspaper Dnevne Novine.
Dedović, however, said that Montenegro’s progress in four areas that needed to be strengthened by recommendations of the NATO is indisputable.
According to him, all issues that once represented obstacles are now resolved and Montenegro is just for the invitation.
