In an interview for Pobjeda daily, Leader of the Democratic People’s Party (DNP), and one of the leaders of the bloc ‘For the Future of Montenegro’, Milan Knezevic, has assessed that it’d be cosmic justice if the Democratic Front would lead Montenegro to the EU.
“It’s important we know that the EU membership doesn’t depend solely on our results but also the increasingly complex relations within the Union, geopolitical context concerning the war in Ukraine, Trump’s election as the president of the United States… but it’s up to us to do everything in our power to become the first next EU member state, so I call on the consensus of all relevant social and political actors,” Mr Knezevic has said.
Speaking about the crisis regarding the Constitutional Court, he considers the latest session of that body showed it wasn’t blocked and that it functioned in line with its constitutional competences.
