Montenegrin Constitutional Court will make it a priority to deliberate on Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic’s complaint. The two Democratic Front (DF) leaders filed a complaint because of the Parliament’s decision to lift their immunity.
The court chaired by Dragoljub Draskovic told Dan newspaper that it decided on a session held on Tuesday that cases initiated by DF MPs would be given priority.
It added that gathering all information necessary for the procedure was ongoing.
Since the initiative has been given priority status, the decision on it will be made as soon as possible. According to unofficial information, the decision could be discussed at the next plenary session of the Constitutional Court.
In their complaints, DF leaders require the court to abolish the Parliament’s decision on lifting their immunity.
